Grant's Treasury of Cartoons: 1983-2026

Mathematics is the principal language of modern finance. And cartoons? They are the supplementary language of the commentator on modern finance. The Grant’s Cartoon Treasury collects 43 years’ worth of sketches from page one of the twice-monthly investment periodical of the same name. Each is the product of a collaboration, also of 43 years’ duration, between Hank Blaustein, the artist, and James Grant, the editor. Each cartoon expresses a topical financial idea, often one as simple as “the market has rocks in its head.”

You might suppose that the sobersided practitioners of the money-making business are too busy even to crack a smile. We humbly submit this labor of love as proof to the contrary.
